At the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days 2015, held on 19–21 June at Inter Expo Center, ProViotic ® received the special award "Bulgarian Innovation" for 2015.
2015 was the ninth consecutive year in which the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union (BPhU) organised the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days (BPD). They are held at this time of year to coincide with the professional holiday of pharmacists – Enyovden (24 June).
The Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days aim to bring together representatives of the pharmaceutical sector and give them the opportunity to discuss issues specific to the sector. Participants include academics as well as master pharmacists, manufacturers, distributors, representatives of similar foreign organisations, other healthcare professionals and even pharmacy students.
More than 1,200 master pharmacists take part in the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days, together with leading pharmaceutical companies presenting their achievements and products. Over the years the forum's speakers have included not only members of the scientific community, the Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union and professional healthcare organisations from Bulgaria and other EU member states, but also people from the highest levels of Bulgarian legislative and executive power. The event receives the highest possible accreditation from the BPhU Quality Committee and is part of the continuing education of master pharmacists in Bulgaria.
Unlike previous years, the 2015 Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days began on 19 June with an opening and a gala ceremony presenting the BPhU's annual Product of the Year awards in various fields of pharmacy. It was then that ProViotic ® received its "Bulgarian Innovation" award for 2015.
The following two days of the forum featured a scientific conference and the annual specialised exhibition, at Inter Expo Center, Sofia.
The programme also included the traditional gala evening of master pharmacists.
